5 The 1704FPT's native resolution is 1280x1024 with a 60Hz refresh rate. As you know, LCD visual quality drastically improves whenever the native resolution is used. Typically, the problem you are describing related to the OS / Graphics driver more than the monitor itself. For example, at any resolution, if the OS decided to have a horizontal image shift to a rectangle outside of the viewable area (this is an option in OS's such as Windows 7) then it wouldn't display properly in the monitor. As such, I suggest you try using the default resolution on the monitor and then updating the graphics driver you are using. This is typically performed ether through traditional OS updates if the OS supports third party updates (e.g., Windows) or directly from the graphic's card vendor (e.g., nvidia). I suspect that the newer drivers will send the correct image information to the driver If that doesn't solve it, try to go through the monitor's on screen menu to see if there are any manual horizontal / vertical alignments being made. These should be simple to remove, although a "restore factory defaults" option generally yields the best results!
