I have a dell inspiron 1720 laptop and it does not...

I have a dell inspiron 1720 laptop and it does nothing when you push power button. battery is charged and power supply is plugged in. It makes no sound, no fan, no nothing. no lights, no cameras, no action. came from the factory with vista. I am stumpped...HELP
