Question About Epson All in One Printer RX600
loud noise at startup...

When I turn my printer on it makes a loud gringing noise. There is also an error message that says "scanner error occured - please see owners manual" and I cannot locate my owners manual. Please help!! Peggy

4 Sounds like you have the scan head locked, its something you want to do when transporting the printer to keep the scan head from sliding around. Open the lid as if you were going to scan. There should be a switch (I think it should be orange or gray) and it should have a padlock symbol for lock and unlock. Set it to the "unlock" position, and turn it on. You should be good to go. dave
