My printer has ink, no flashing lights, it sounds ...

My printer has ink, no flashing lights, it sounds like its printing but the pages come out blank. what is the problem and what can I do to fix it. I am also unable to reinstall the printer on my laptop after it had to have a system restore, the disk drive works just not for the epson installation disk (the disk works on my other pc)
