most of the time when the printer starts up it displays a printer error message. i have eliminated a few options on what might be the problem. it is in the last phase of the startup testing that the machine stops functioning. i think the problem is around the one particular motor that operates the paper feeder (not the one that rolls the paper in, but the one that drops it and is connected to the "loading dock". it is maybe that or one of the sensors around there. the last operation in the testing that runs is the cartridge motor.
