5 If you mean the width of the ribbons coming out of the bottom, there is no changing that. These knives are made as a unit and they cannot be adjusted. The whole idea is to destroy documents so information cannot be retrieved so the ribbons are as small as they can make them and still have the shredder work efficiently and trouble free. Usually if the machine starts jamming and the knives lose their sharpness, it's pretty much toast. Hope this helps.
