2 If it is anything like the monitor that I have, you might want to check to see if there is a wire inside that burnt. The one I have, a friend owned. He turned it on and it started smoking. Unplugged it right away, got ahold of HP and they wouldn't help because he was 2 days over warranty. I have it now, took it apart and a wire melted. When I went to unplug it, it broke. Now I need to find the cable. Any ideas where I could find the cables for inside the monitor? I am in Burton, MI. Hope this helps.
