I cannot get the weather icon to work. it has read...

I cannot get the weather icon to work. it has read sunny eversince we bought the clock., all other aspects work fine. Do i have toi purchase an additional outdoor sensor, or can you tell me how to make it change, we have had several changes in the weather since we bought it.
