when trying to scan after pressing the scan mode button and pressing the check mark to download application list the display reads cannot retrieve application list. What is the cause of this and how do I fix it to be able to scan?

5 in order for the scan button to work you need to have the Lexmark Imaging Studio software open. I tried this about 15 times and was ready to throw it out, when i opened the Imaging Studio and voila - it worked. I hope this helps! LarryD

0 I am having a different problem.. Mine scans with no problem... but it won't make copies. Says it can't retrieve the applications list. Copying doesn't require my computer, so I'm at a loss.

0 I have downloaded the patches recommended on the home site and after re-booting computer and unplugging the printer of course it works...unplug & reboot...I have had to do this every time I needed to scan something. Opening the software and refreshing the applications helps sometimes, but always I have to unplug & reboot to do multiple scans.... Fair printer, crappy scanner..!
