When using a floor (milk can style) heater our AV7...

When using a floor (milk can style) heater our AV700 emitted a high "siren" pitch. We can't seem to reset it using the small circular black button on the end. Is there something else we should try? Have we fried it's lil' brain? Thanks you if you can answer a.s.a.p, Jim
