5 Case 1: Copy operation in progress Do one of the following to clear the message: While scanning the first page of multi-page job, press the STOP/EXIT key to cancel scanning. While scanning a subsequent page, press the Black (Mono) Start or Color (Colour) Start key to copy the pages scanned so far, or press the STOP/EXIT key to cancel the operation. After clearing the message, wait until the other operations in progress finish and then try again. (Available only for Brother machines with fax function.) Also, clear the faxes from the memory (See the explanation in Case 3.) Case 2: Print operation in process Press the JOB CANCEL key to clear jobs from your Brother machine's memory. After clearing the message, do one of the following: Reduce the print resolution in the printer driver. (Available only for Brother machines with fax function.) Clear the faxes from the memory (See the explanation in Case 3.) NOTE: Illustrations shown below are from a representative product and operating system, and may differ from your Brother machine and operating system.
