WON'T START THOUGH POWER CORD IS CONNECTED.

1 Does it run all the time or is there a way to set it where after the paper is shredded it will turn off.

0 Firt it would not turn off. (There was a lightning storm but it was on a power strip.) So I unplugged it from the wall. When I plug it back in the screen flashes & than it goes blank and does nothing. No power to the shredder.
