Both of these are randomly occuring nuisance problems. I've learned how to reset the color manually when needed; when the monitor won't power up, usually I can simply use a hard-shutoff on the computer, disconnect all power to the system for 5 minutes or so, then re-power and turn on immediately. A couple of expensive trips to the repair shop provided no other hints--just the comment that somehow the monitor gets "stuck" in sleep mode. I'd like to know if this means the monitor is dying--or if there is something I can reset to avoid these particular nuisances.
