data transfer cable pc to scanner, type?...

i need to know what type of cable to use for transfering data from a pc to the scanner. also whats the process

5 The cable I use is a 9-pin serial to 1/8" mono that I got from R/S a few years ago. I think it has been discontinued since then, however, the link I included is the newer USB version which is more expensive, but should be well worth the cost if you have a lot of freqs to program.
