Question About Radio Shack Scanner race 1000

well i am trying to figure out how to program police and fire frequiencies into my scanner and be able to hear them can you please send me a paper showing me how to do that? my address is 2902 N. 3rd street abilene,tx 79603... my name is krystal sherie mccoy
