the locking mechanism on the reverse unit is not engaging after lifting the flap so the flap is operating constantly. The unit does not appear damaged or contaminated in any way. What could be causing this?

0 The manual is of limited help because it hardly refers to the reverse unit, which is not specified as a replaceable part.. It looks like the locking clip on it is being held back by a magnet when it should be released after each sheet and I suspected a sensor might be failing but the manual doesn't show where they are in detail, or what to do. When I take the unit out the machine the clip remained held back one time. Their is nothing wrong with the spring it looks like the magnet is staying on when it shouldn't. Any opinions would be appreciated...
