Our fax machine is only a couple of months old and...

Our fax machine is only a couple of months old and it is producing a thick black line down the centre of the paper when we use the photocopier function and also when people receive faxes they tell us there is a line down the centre as well. Is this something we can fix here?? Thanks Carol
