sandisk memory card...

how do i load the sandisk ultra mobile sd card into my laptop? i assume i have to use the adapter that came with it. where does the card go on the adapter. i assume in the little slot on the bottom of the adapter. is this correct? then how do i insert the adapter into the laptop? and how far in do i insert it?
