black screen -hibernation mode...

I just purchased a VGN-CS320J and when I went to get on my computer this morning after already using it earlier this morning the screen us black…was not sure how to get the screen back up? I turned the computer off, waited a little bit, and then turned back on. Is that the only way to handle it when in go’s into hibernation mode thank leisa
