We just bought a queen size sunbeam electric mattr...

We just bought a queen size sunbeam electric mattress pad. There are no directions on how the controller works. When turned on it goes from low,2,3,4 then just stays on hi blinking. It does not warm up at all and cannot be turned off with remote, only by unplugging it.
