Question About Toshiba Cash Register MA-186
I have just bought an old TEC MA-186 cash register...

I have just bought an old TEC MA-186 cash register. I was after a manual as I think I pressed too many buttons and the alarm won't turn off

0 No it didn't couldn't find anything that told me how to turn the alarm off.

0 To find the manuals for this model go to http://www.toshibatec.com.au/toshiba-tec-pos-systems and type the model, eg ma-186, there are two variations of this machine, 100 series and 200 series.

0 If you haven't got the S key another way around resetting the till this is by jumping the 3rd and 4th wire from the purple wire. I desoldered the first wire as it isn't used and put the MA key in the position before the Z settings as this isn't used. The key when rotated connects only two wires together, the 4th wire from the purple side is the common, and every time you rotate the MA key it connects single different contact. I used a multimeter to figure out which one was the S key, if your not sure about electronics ask someone who is or you could ruin your till.
