FC-22XH Storage Adapter
The Celerity FC-22XH storage adapter has four
pluggable SFP LC optical connectors and uses a
short wave laser. A multi-mode cable must be
used with short wave lasers. For best
performance, use 50
micron multi-mode
optical cables of no
more than 500 meters in
length.
To maximize
connectivity, each port
on the FC-22XH is
connected to one of two
on-board hubs.
On-board hub
Each on-board hub chip
is connected to a
channel of the dual-
channel Fibre Channel
chip. Ports 1 and 2 of the
adapter are connected
through the hub chip to
the first channel of the
FC chip (Channel 0)
while Ports 3 and 4 are connected through the hub
to the second channel of the FC chip (Channel 1).
This arrangement allows you to connect four
JBODs without a hub or switch. Although you
