Step 2: Confi guring your
computers IP address
Windows XP/2000 users:
Click Start Control Panel
Double Click Network
connections
Right-Click on appropriate
Local Area Network
Connection and select
Properties.
Scroll down and highlight
Internet Protocol (TCP/ IP)
and then click Properties.
Select Obtain IP address
automatically.
Click OK to close Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties.
For Windows 98SE/ME
Right-click on Network
Neighborhood and select
Properties.
Select the Confi guration tab,
scroll down to highlight TCP/
IP and click Properties.
Select Obtain IP address
automatically.
Click OK to close Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties.
Click OK to close Network
Connection Properties.
