Using Your Studio XPS Desktop

S/PDIF connector — Connects to
amplifiers of TVs for digital audio through
optical digital cables. This format carries
an audio signal without going through an
analog audio conversion process.

eSATA connector — Connects to
external SATA storage devices.

USB 2.0 connectors (4) — Connect
to USB devices, such as a mouse, printer,
keyboard, external drive, or MP3 player.

Side L/R surround connector
Connects to side L/R surround speakers.

Microphone connector — Connects
to a microphone for voice or audio input
into a sound or telephony program.

Front L/R line-out connector
Connects to front L/R speakers.

Line-in connector — Connects to
recording or playback devices such as
a microphone, cassette player, CD player,
or VCR.

Center/subwoofer connector
Connects to a center speaker or subwoofer.

Rear L/R surround connector
Connects to rear L/R surround speakers.

Network connector and light
Connects your computer to a network
or broadband device if you are using a
wired network. The two lights next to the
connector indicate status and activity for a
wired network connection.
