WIRELESS SECURITY Mode
To protect your privacy you can configure wireless security features. This
device supports three wireless security modes including: WEP, WPA,
WPA2, Auto (WPA or WPA2). WEP is the original wireless encryption
standard. WPA provides a higher level of security. WPA-Personal does not
require an authentication server. The WPA-Enterprise option requires an
external RADIUS server.

WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol)
encryption can be enabled for
security and privacy. WEP e
ncrypts the data portion of each frame
transmitted from the wireless adapter using one of the predefined keys.
The router offers 64 or 128 bit encryption with four keys available.
Select WEP Key Length from the drop-down menu. (128 bit is stronger
than 64 bit)
Specify the encryption key from the Current Network Key drop-down
menu.
Enter the key into the WEP Key field 1~4. (Key length is outlined at the
bottom of the window.)
Select Authentication type from the drop-down menu. (Shared is better
than Open)
Click on the Apply Settings button to apply settings.
