B3G124-24P Stackable Switch
TheB3G12424P(Figure 11)hasseveraltypesoffrontpanelportconnections,which
include:
•TwentyfourRJ45ports(10/100/1000Mbps,1000BASETcopperports)thatalso
supportPoEforconnectionstoIEEE802.3afcompliantPDs(powereddevices).
•FourSFPslotsthatprovideyouwiththeoptionofinstallingSmallForm
Pluggable
(SFP)MiniGBICsfor1000BASESX/LXfiberopticconnectionsand1000BASET
copperconnections.
•Rearpanelconnectorsforhighspeedconnectionsinastackconfiguration.
•RearpanelRedundantPowerSupplyconnectorusedtoconnecttoaSecureStack
PoEcompliantRedundantPowerSupply(C2RPSPOE).Theswitchconnectstothe
SecureStack
C2RPSPOEusingaSecureStackC2RPSPOEcable.
The10/100/1000 Mbps fixedfrontpanelportscanoperateineitherhalfduplexorfull
duplexmode,asdeterminedbyAutoNegotiation.
Note: The Mini-GBIC ports cannot be active simultaneously with their corresponding
10/100/1000BASE-T ports. For example, if SFP port 24 establishes a link first on the
B3G124-24P, the 10/100/1000BASE-T built-in RJ45 port 24 is not available and
vice-versa.
Caution: The B3G124-24P and B3G124-48P are PoE-compliant devices. Do not connect
a SecureStack Redundant Power System (C2RPS-SYS) to the power connector.
Otherwise, damage to the device may result.
