5.4.3 PIO data-out command protocol
Execution of the following commands involves data transfers from the host system
to the device:
• WRITE SECTOR(S) (EXT)
• WRITE MULTI (EXT) (FUA EXT)
• WRITE LONG
• WRITE BUFFER
• WRITE VERIFY
• SMART WRITE LOG SECTOR
• SECURITY DISABLE PASSWORD
• SECURITY ERASE UNIT
• SECURITY SET PASSWORD
• SECURITY UNLOCK
• DOWNLOAD MICROCODE
• WRITE LOG EXT
• DEVICE CONFIGRATION SET
Data of one or more sectors is transferred from the host to the device. With the
WRITE LONG command, data of 516 bytes is transferred.
