System Unit Rear Panel Connectors
Audio Connectors
The Model C160/C180/C200/C240 workstations have audio input and out-
put capability through external input and output connectors on the rear panel
and through an internal speaker. The rear panel contains the Line IN (Stereo
line-in) and Line OUT (Stereo line-out) connectors.
NOTICE: To maintain compliance with FCC/CISPR B you must use fully shielded,
unbalanced audio cables and plugs.
The audio connectors are standard stereo audio mini-jacks. Hewlett-Packard
recommends using gold-plated plugs available through audio retailers. The
following summarizes the capabilities of the Model C160/C180/C200/C240
workstations:

8kHz, 16kHz, 32kHz, 48kHz,
11.025kHz, 22.05kHz, and 44.1kHz.
Programmable output attenuation:
0 to -96dB in -1.5dB steps
Programmable input gain:
0 to 22.5dB in 1.5dB steps.
Input monitoring:
16-bit linear, 8-bit u-law, or A-law coding
