Remove the top cover:
1. Remove the twelve Phillips PM2.5×8.5 screws that secure the top cover to the computer.
2.
Remove the following screws that secure the top cover to the computer:
(1) Two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws in the optical drive bay
(2) Three Phillips PM2.0×2.5 screws in the battery bay
(3) Two Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screws in the hard drive bay
3. Turn the computer right side up, with the front toward you.
4. Open the computer.
