Microcontroller Unit
The main device on the MASTER PCB is the 16-bit MICROCONTROLLER unit MC68HC05B16 from
MOTORola
for the models EKTAPRO 4020 - 9020 and 9029/CINE
This MICROCONTROLLER has a microprocessor, timer, memory, analog/ digital converter and input/output
ports on one chip. Compared to a standard processor, where for each item a peripheral IC is necessary.
This MICROCONTROLLER with its on-chip software controls all functions of the projector plus peripheral circuits.
The main features of the MICROCONTROLLER are:
- 24 bi-directional I/O lines
- 8 input-only lines
- serial communication interface system
- 8 channel A/D converter
- 15120 Bytes ROM (Models 4020 - 9020 and 9020/CINE)
- 2 channel timer
