Setting Dial Groups
Several abbreviated dial numbers can be assigned to one and the same dial group. This feature
is convenient when you often transmit the same information to many remote stations simulta-
neously and receive from them by sequential polling.
Up to 20 groups can be registered for the group dial. Up to 500 abbreviated dial numbers and 400
Internet Fax remote stations, 900 in total, can be registered for each group dial.
This section covers describe the procedures of registering dial groups (assigning remote stations
and group name to each dial group), changing group dial registration, and deleting group dial reg-
istration.
Registering Dial Groups
The procedure for assigning remote stations to each dial group is described below.
Abbreviated dial numbers and Internet Fax remote stations can be registered for the
group dial. If some remote station is not registered, register it to the abbreviated dial num-
ber before the group dial registration operation.
See "Setting Abbreviated Dial Numbers" (p. 13-2) for registering abbreviated dial num-
bers.
The group dial list allows you to confirm the details of registration. To print the group dial
list, see "Group Dial List" (p. 15-29).
Up to 20 dial groups can be defined.
Each group can have a group name.
1. Press [FAX] to display the FAX Basic screen if it is not
already displayed.
2. Press ENTRY.
3. Press Entry/Edit in the Group.
