Removing an optional output bin
Follow these instructions to remove any of the output bins: finisher, 5-bin mailbox, high-capacity
output stacker, or output expander. The following steps explain how to remove an output expander as
an example.
1 If you are removing the topmost output bin and do not plan to return it to that position, remove
the top cover.
If you are removing a finisher, skip to step 4 on page 204.
You must attach the top cover to the printer or topmost output bin when you finish removing
optional output bins. In addition, it may be necessary to remove the wire bail from the top
cover, depending on the type of output bin to which it is attached. Refer to the Setup Guide for
more information.
