Symtom
UPS not on
On Battery LED is
illuminated even though
there is normal AC
present
Fault LED is illuminated
UPS does not provide
expected backup time
Overload LED is
illuminated
Battery Low LED is
illuminated
Communication does
not work properly
Possible Cause
Power switch is in Off
position.
No incoming utility.
Input AC breaker is tripped.
No incoming utility.
UPS has detected an internal
fault.
The batteries may be weak or
at the end of useful service
life.
Charger failure.
Connected loads exceed UPS
rating.
Weak or bad batteries, or bad
battery connection.
Remaining battery power
supply is low.
Incorrect cabling.
What To Do
Press On button.
Check utility power.
Reset circuit breaker.
Check input power connection.
Turn UPS off, then on again. If Fault
LED remains on contact Minuteman
Technical Support.
Charge the batteries for 10 hours and
retest. If the backup time is still less
than expected, the batteries may need
to be replaced, even though the
Battery Low LED is not illuminated.
Remove excess load.
Check the battery connection and/or
replace the batteries. Connect
additional battery pack if available.
