To meet your demanding business needs, the
OKIFAX 5980 can be factory-configured as a Dual
Line model — doubling your productivity without
adding additional machines.
The basic models of the OKIFAX 5780/5980 can be
easily upgraded to Internet/LAN devices via available
options, including a T.37 Fax to E-mail kit, and T.38
Internet/LAN Fax with real-time confirmation.
Just pick the OKIFAX solution that’s right for your
business.
Advantages of Fax to e-Mail/Internet Fax
OKIFAX Fax to E-Mail:
Allows paper documents to be sent to an e-mail
address (via T.37 IP); harnesses standard Internet
mail infra-structure (SMTP, POP3, MIME, etc.) for
store-and-forward fax transmission
Recipients can now retrieve their faxes from
wherever they have access to e-mail — rather
than having to look for an actual fax machine
OKIFAX Internet Fax:
Enables faxes to piggyback on an existing Internet
connection; fax documents travel over the Internet
for the long-distance portion of their transmission
Network administrators can leverage existing high
bandwidth Internet access for no additional charge
Savings accrue through the elimination of PSTN
phone lines; charges for individual fax calls are
bypassed
Intra-company faxes can be sent for free over
existing corporate intranet or Internet; T.38
real-time fax supports hand-shaking and in-call
confirmation/error reports
Corporate telecom managers can cut down on
number of analog phone lines needed for dedicated
fax machines (unless G3 faxing is retained as a
fallback)
Hooking up T.38 fax machines to a fax server to
reach G3 machines eliminates individual phone
lines; the fax server needs fewer phone lines
OKIFAX Network Fax:
Can be linked directly to a network via an Ethernet
card using T.38 IP; outgoing faxes are routed to the
IP address of the receiving fax machine
Provides savings by eliminating the cost of
individual modem and phone lines for each
desktop; leverages more value from the network
that’s already in place
LAN fax also enables users to share fax directories
Advantages of Dual Line Fax
Double fax productivity: send and receive faxes
on either line at the same time.
Two separate phone line connections into one
machine make it simple to handle two jobs at
once. Increase your efficiency while reducing
your time spent at the fax machine.
Transmit to two different locations at the same
time, receive from two different locations at the
same time, or transmit and receive at the same
time — the choice is yours.
Or configure the lines to your needs.
Use one phone line to send and one to receive.
You won’t have to worry about missing an
important or time-sensitive fax as it comes in.
The second dedicated phone line can be set up
to either transmit or receive, according to your
specific business needs, with a default back-up
to either function.
