Panasonic PT-L6600U Projector User Manual

Ultrahigh Brightness and Contrast
Panasonic’s advanced BriteOptic™ Dual Lamp
System delivers 3,600/4,200 ANSI lumens of
brightness and superior color reproducibility.
A corrective film is used to compensate for
phase shifts in the light incident to the LCD
panel, helping obtain a high contrast ratio. The
result is reproduction of crisp, clear, super-
bright images with outstanding depth.
Increased Reliability
These projectors have a long lamp life of
3,000 hours (at dual lamp operation in
standard mode). With the BriteOptic™ Dual
Lamp System, even if one lamp burns out, the
remaining lamp provides sufficient brightness.
4-Mode Lamp Operation
Lamps can be set to 100%, 75%, 50%, or
25% ANSI lumens to achieve the desired
brightness. The four settings let you place the
priority on higher output, longer lamp life, or
fail-safe operation to match your usage
conditions.
High Resolution & Intelligent Image
Resizing
The PT-L6600U and PT-L6600UL offer true
SXGA resolution and the PT-L6510U and PT-
L6510UL provide true XGA resolution, allowing
display of detailed computer graphics and text.
When displaying images of other types, the
signals are expanded or compressed through
a digital processing system. This assures
smooth outlines and outstanding picture
definition with all types of images.
Flexible Connection
The PT-L6600U/UL and PT-L6510U/UL are
equipped with a digital video interface (DVI),
which lets you connect them with PCs for full
digital image processing. You can also input
signals from digital TV and DVD sources.
Installation Options
Two ceiling mount brackets are available, one
for high ceilings and one for lower ceilings. A
stacking mount bracket and a simpler version
are also available, for quick, easy, temporary
stacking of two units.
Easy Setup and Maintenance
The PT-L6600U/UL and PT-L6510U/ UL
feature a symmetrical design that places the
lens right at the center, making it easier to
position the projector and screen. Maintenance
is easier too, thanks to a design that lets you
replace a lamp without removing the projector
from the bracket in either the ceiling-mounted
or dual stacking configuration.
A Wide Range of Uses
The PT-L6600U/UL and PT-L6510U/ UL
provide the quality and performance needed in
almost any application. Use them in meeting
rooms, theaters, museums, convention halls,
public spaces, schools, research labs—
anyplace where bright, beautiful images are a
plus. Also, the superb resolution made
possible by DVI input delivers images with
exceptional detail and accuracy. This makes
these projectors suitable for use as main
systems for monitoring traffic or electric power,
or in operation centers such as police, fire, air
traffic control, and space development centers.
One-Touch Auto Setup
This function automatically identifies the signal
mode of the input source and adjusts the
image accordingly. You get optimal viewing
