Power Sources
Dry cell batteries
Use the two R6/LR6(UM-3) batteries.
When the batteries are weak, the

lamps will turn off one by one.
AC adaptor
Connect the Panasonic AC adaptor(RP-AC31B, not included) to [

Tape playback

2.Insert the tape. (You can use normal position type tapes only.)

Use the same setting you used when the recording was made.

Adjusting the antennas
AM:
The AM antenna is built-in so, try various directions for optimum reception.
FM: As the cord of the earphones acts as an antenna, use it
extended, not coiled, or pull out the telescopic antenna and
adjust its length and angle for optimum reception.
To receive FM stereo broadcast clearly
To receive FM stereo broadcasts, set [ ] to [
I
].
If reception is poor(excessive noise), set to [
II
]. This will reduce
noise but sound becomes monaural.
To make recordings
1.Set [
to
2.Insert the tape. (You can use normal position type tapes only.)
3.Set [
] to [ ] or [ ].
To record sound at a normal speed
To record about twice the length of the tape

To cue and review
Sound can be monitored at a high speed as long as [

] (review) or [5 ] (cue) is held down during
playback.When the button is released, normal playback will start.
Follow up recording
Recording can be started during playback by simply pressing

¥ ].
Quick review
The review operation is possible during recording by pressing

], only the [¥ ] will be released, and playback begin.
To record through an external microphone
Plug the external microphone (included) into [
].
You can use a condenser microphone with or without built-in power supply.
