Features
s-OV Technology
Philips’ s-OV (Smart Over-voltage) technology is a new, proprietary (patent pending) method of
surge protection that is designed to protect connected equipment from catastrophic over-voltage
events, such as lightning strikes, faulty wiring, etc.
Through a series of relays, when an over-voltage event occurs, the power to all connected equipment
is completely disconnected preventing any possible damage to the equipment. When normal power
is restored, Theatre Director’s intelligent processor automatically resets itself for normal operation
and equipment protection.
In addition to disconnecting power to all connected equipment, s-OV technology also prevents
damaging voltage from passing through to the MOVs, which are there to protect your valuable
equipment from everyday transient surges and spikes.
