• Do not shred more than three folded
sheets of paper at a time.
• Do not shred wet paper or carbon
paper.
• To avoid serious injury, keep hair,
neckties, jewelry, and fingers out of
the shredder’s paper slot.
• The shredder automatically stops if
it has been continuously running for
a long time. This is not a malfunc-
tion.
If you were shredding when the
shredder automatically stopped, let
the shredder cool for about 20 min-
utes before using it again.
Caution:
If the shredder stops and
the waste receptacle is full, do not
hold down

• Always turn off then unplug the
shredder before moving or cleaning
it.
• Do not attempt to repair the shred-
der by yourself. Contact your local
RadioShack store for help.
• Never use the shredder if it has
been dropped or the housing has
been damaged.
CHOOSING A LOCATION
Choose a location for your shredder that
is within 6 feet of a standard AC outlet
and out of the way of normal activity.
Warnings
:
• Never place the shredder near or
over heat or water sources.
• Keep the shredder out of the reach
of children.
INSTALLATION
1. Remove the upper part of the shred-
der from the waste receptacle.
2. Place the waste receptacle on a flat
surface.
3. Place the shredder on the waste
receptacle and make sure the
shredder is securely seated.
4. Plug the shredder’s power cord into
a standard AC outlet.
OPERATION
1. Fold the paper you want to shred
lengthwise so it is slightly narrower
than the paper slot.
2. Set
Rev/Stop/Auto
to
Auto
. The
shredder automatically turns on and
shreds when paper is fed into the
paper slot, then stops when the pa-
per is shredded.
