Battery Clamp Jaw Replacement
1. Secure clamp in open position using a vise or equivalent clamping
device. IMPORTANT: Make sure the rotary switch on the front
panel is in the O (OFF) position and the jump starter is not
plugged into a 110V AC electrical wall outlet.
2. Unscrew fastener securing the cables to the rear of the top
jaw.
3. Unscrew fasteners (2) securing the Copper Jaws to the plastic
clamp. Remove the jaws and braided cable.
4. Reverse for assembly.
STORAGE
The jump starter can be stored in any position. When the rotary
switch is in the 12V position, (or, for Model PSJ-4424, 12V or 24V)
the clamps are live and will produce arcing or sparking if they come
in contact with each other. To prevent accidental arcing, always keep
the clamps in the compartments and the switch in the OFF position
when not using it to jump start a vehicle.
All batteries are affected by temperature. The ideal storage
temperature is at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Performance varies based
on battery temperature conditions.
