TheUSB-MODEVMinterfaceboardcanbepoweredfromseveraldifferentsources:

•6VDC-10VDCAC/DCexternalwallsupply(notincluded)
•Laboratorypowersupply
WhenpoweredfromtheUSBconnection,JMP6shouldhaveashuntfrompins1-2(thisisthedefault
factoryconfiguration).Whenpoweredfrom6VDC-10VDC,eitherthroughtheJ8terminalblockorJ9
barreljack,JMP6shouldhaveashuntinstalledonpins2-3.Ifpowerisappliedinanyoftheseways,
onboardregulatorsgeneratetherequiredsupplyvoltages,andnofurtherpowersuppliesarenecessary.
IflaboratorysuppliesareusedtoprovidetheindividualvoltagesrequiredbytheUSB-MODEVMinterface
board,JMP6shouldhavenoshuntinstalled.VoltagesthenareappliedtoJ2(+5VA),J3(+5VD),J4
(+1.8VD),andJ5(+3.3VD).The+1.8VDand+3.3VDalsocanbegeneratedontheboardbytheonboard
regulatorsfromthe+5VDsupply;toenablethissupply,theswitchesonSW1needtobesettoenablethe
regulatorsbyplacingthemintheONposition(lowerposition,lookingattheboardwithtextreading
right-sideup).If+1.8VDand+3.3VDaresuppliedexternally,disabletheonboardregulatorsbyplacing
SW1switchesintheOFFposition.
EachpowersupplyvoltagehasanLED(D1-D7)whichlightswhenthepowersuppliesareactive.
Thefollowingsectionprovidesinformationontheanaloginput,digitalcontrol,andgeneraloperating
conditionsoftheTSC2007EVM.
Theanaloginputsources(touchscreenandauxiliaryinput)canbeapplieddirectlytoJ1(toporbottom
side)orthroughsignal-conditioningmodulesavailableforthemodularEVMsystem.
ThedigitalcontrolsignalscanbeapplieddirectlytoJ2(toporbottomside).ThemodularTSC2007EVM
alsocanbeconnecteddirectlytoaDSPormicrocontrollerinterfaceboard,suchastheUSB-MODEVM
interfaceboardifpurchasedaspartoftheTSC2007EVM-PDK.SeetheproductfolderfortheTSC2007for
acurrentlistofcompatibleinterfaceand/oraccessoryboards.
