The Environmental Monitoring Device (EMD) is a monitoring
device that provides real time comprehensive remote monitoring
of environment temperature, environment humidity and other
environmental conditions via a web browser and Network
Management System (NMS). The EMD also provides two user-
dened dry contacts for additional environmental monitoring.
These dry contacts can be used with devices that provide normally-
open or normally-closed results, such as door sensors, smoke detectors, motion
detectors, and liquid detectors.

SNMP Ability
The EMD is connected to a Toshiba UPS Network Card, The RemotEye II. The RemotEye II provides an SNMP
interface for the EMD. This allows easy integration of EMD management into an existing SNMP Network
Management System.
HTTP Familiarity
The RemotEye II provides an HTTP Interface for the EMD. This allows access of EMD information from any
machines with a web browser quickly and easily. Additionally, EMD information can be congured and monitored
through the website.
Email Notication
The RemotEye II provides email notication of the EMD status and EMD events to designated email recipients.
