IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
WARNING!
Use of this equipment in life support applications where failure of this equipment can
reasonably be expected to cause the failure of the life support equipment or to significantly
affect its safety or effectiveness is not recommended. Do not use this equipment in the
presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide.
CAUTION!
DO NOT connect to an ungrounded outlet. DO NOT use with extension cords or adapters
that eliminate the connection to ground. The surge suppressor is designed for indoor use
only. Install the surge suppressor away from heat emitting appliances such as radiators or
heat registers. Do not install where excessive moisture or other conductive contaminants
are present. Never install electrical wiring during a lightning storm.
AUTOMATIC OPERATION!
The surge suppressor includes a ground detection and power polarity detection circuit with
LED for added safety. When the surge suppressor is plugged into a wall outlet, it detects
whether a proper ground is present. If a proper ground is detected, the green LED
illuminates and AC power is routed to the output receptacles. If a proper ground is not
detected, the LED does not illuminate and AC power is not routed to the output
receptacles. The surge suppressor also features an internal protection that will disconnect
the surge-protective component at the end of its useful life. The surge suppressor will
distribute AC power and the LED will illuminate only when all of its surge suppression
components are functioning properly and it is connected to a properly-wired AC outlet.
