NOTE: The Start-It Jumpstart System is equipped with an audible Reverse
Polarity Alarm. This feature is only active when the Safety Switch is
turned OFF. After both battery clamp connections are made during
jump-start procedures, if you hear a buzzing sound, DO NOT TURN
ON THE SAFETY SWITCH. You must swap the clamp connections
before continuing. If the buzzer does not sound, it is safe to turn on
the Safety Switch and follow the Jumpstart procedure.
NOTE: The alarm requires at least two volts to operate, so in the rare
instance of a totally dead battery, the alarm may not sound if
the polarity connection is reversed. This is very unlikely because
almost all dead batteries rarely go below four or five volts. Always
double-check your connections before turning on the Safety Switch.
