USING THE DECK LIFT LEVER
Toraisethe cuttingdeck,movethe decklift levertothe left,then place
it in the notchbestsuitedfor yourapplication.RefertoSettingThe
CuttingHeightearlierinthis Operationsection.
MOWING
Tohelpavoidbladecontactor a thrownobjectinjury,keepbystand-
ers,helpers,childrenandpetsat least75feetfromthe machine
whileit is inoperation.Stopmachineif anyoneentersthearea.
Thefollowinginformationwill behelpfulwhenusingthecuttingdeck
withyourtractor:
Planyour mowingpatternto avoiddischargeof materialstoward
roads,sidewalks,bystandersandthe like.Also,avoiddischarging
materialagainsta wallor obstructionwhichmaycausedischarged
materialto ricochetbacktowardtheoperator.
HEADLIGHTS
• Thelampsare ONwheneverthetractor'sengineis running.
• Thelampsturn OFFwhentheignitionkeyis movedto theSTOP
position.
• Do notmowat highgroundspeed,especiallyif a mulchkitor
grasscollectoris installed.
• For bestresultsit is recommendedthatthe firsttwolaps becut
withthe dischargethrowntowardsthecenter.Afterthe first two
laps,reversethe directiontothrowthe dischargeto theoutside
for thebalanceof cutting.Thiswill givea betterappearanceto the
lawn.
• Do notcut thegrasstoo short.Shortgrassinvitesweedgrowth
andyellowsquicklyindry weather.
• Mowingshouldalwaysbedonewiththe engineatfull throttle.
• Underheavierconditionsit maybenecessaryto go backoverthe
cutareaa secondtimeto geta cleancut.
• Do NOTattempttomowheavybrushandweedsandextremely
tall grass.Yourtractoris designedto mowlawns,NOTclear
brush.
