before you use it in your vehicle for the first time.

toleakduringthechargingprocess.Ifdamageisdetected,do
notchargethebatteryoruseitinyourvehicle.Batteryacidis
verycorrosiveandcancauseseveredamagetosurfaces
itcontacts.
•Donotchargethebatteryonasurface(suchasakitchen
countertop)whichcouldbedamagedbytheacidcontained
insidethebattery.Takeprecautionstoprotectthesurfaceon
whichyouchargeyourbattery.

thermalfuse.Thethermalfuseisaself-resettingsafetydevice
whichautomatically“trips”andshutsdownoperationofthe
vehicleifthevehicleisoverloadedorthedrivingconditionstoo
severe.Onceafusehas“tripped”,removeyourfootfromthe
pedalandwaitapproximately25secondsbeforeoperatingthe
vehicleagain.Toavoidrepeatedautomaticshut-downs,donot
overloadthevehiclebyexceedingthe65lb.(29.5kg)maximum
weightcapacityorbytowinganythingbehindthevehicle.Avoid
severedrivingconditions,suchasdrivingupslopesorrunning
intofixedobjects,whichcancausethewheelstostopspinning
whilepowerisstillbeingsuppliedtothemotorsandmakesure
yourchildstopsthevehiclebeforeswitchingdirection.
