DONOTlubricateoruseoilonanymovingparts.Thecompressoreccentricusesa
precisionsealedbearing.
DONOTcrimpthepistoncupwhenyoureplacethesleeve.Ifthecupiscrimped,itMUST
bereplaced.
3. Withbearingsideofconnectingrod/eccentricassemblyfacingthecenter(motor)of
thecompressor,slidetheassemblyontotheshaftbringingitflushtothemotor
bearing.
NOTE:Makesuretheeccentricsetscrewispositionedovertheflatoftheshaft.
4. Usingtheaccesshole,tightensetscrewto
40inch‐lbs(Detail“A” ofFIGURE 7.4).
5. Holdthesleevedowntothehousingwithonehandandslowlyrotatetheeccentric
withtheotherhandtoensureallthecomponentsarealignedproperly.

rubbermallet.

1. Withthesleevelocatedandfirmlyseatedonthehousing,replacethevalveplateinthe
samemannerasitwas.
2. Repeatstep1forothervalveplate.
NOTE:MakesurethetopedgeofthesleevelocatesintheO‐ringgrooveinthebottomofthevalve
plate.
CAUTION
MakesurethattheO‐ringisnottwistedwhenseatedinthegrooveofthebottomofthe
valveplate.

1. Placetheheadsontopofthevalveplates.
2. Tightentheheadscrewsinacriss‐crosspatternto40inch‐lbs.
