Storing in the freezer
Once the freezing process has been completed all
compartments can be used for storage but if you require
to freeze further quantities of food move the recently
frozen foods to the upper compartments.
If you are storing large quantities of food you can remove
the top two baskets from the freezer and store foods
directly on the shelves. Do not remove the bottom
freezing compartment.
For supermarket pre-frozen foods be aware of the
use by date on the packaging at all times and use
the foods prior to that date.
It is not safe to re-freeze foods that were
previously frozen and have defrosted; you are
advised to use the foods as soon as possible or to cook
the foods and then re-freeze. If ice cream has defrosted
children will help out with this problem.
How to make ice cubes
To make ice cubes fill the ice cube tray with fresh or
filtered water and place the tray into the frozen food
compartment. Set the thermostat control to maximum
to reduce the freezing time. Re-set the thermostat
control to normal running. To release the ice cubes hold
the tray under running water then twist the tray.
