9.1 Idle Adjustment

Adjust idle when engine is warm.

With the throttle in a “off” position, adjust idle screw
(Fig. 1) to approximately 1,200±100.
9.2 Pilot Adjustment

Turn pilot screw (Fig. 2) to closed position.
Open
approximately one full turn for smooth engine idling.
9.3 High speed Adjustment

Loosen adjust plate screw and adjusting lever bolt
(Fig. 3).

For slower speed, move stopper (Fig. 3) toward the recoil
starter.
This shortens the throttle movement.
9.3-3
To increase speed, move stopper (Fig. 3) away from
recoil starter.
This
increases the throttle movement.
9.3-4
Set engine at correct speed of approximately 3,900±
100rpm.
Tighten adjust plate screw and adjusting lever bolt.
