To
check battery power, depress the button halfway.
If
the viewfinder LED(s) lights steadily, power
is
sufficient
If
the LED(s) disappears the instant you
remove your finger from the button, power
is
weak
and you must change batteries
If
you continue to use

in
this situation, the batteries will be com-
pletely
exhausted when the shutter release button
is
depressed, the shutter curtains will not open and the
mirror
will be locked
in
the up position
To
return the
mirror to its
place, switch to the 8 setting.
The shutter
release button
is
threaded at the center
to accept a standard
cable release.
