The text input mode indicator appears on the top line of
the display.
T9 mode
T9 is a predictive text input mode that allows you to enter
any character with one keypress. This text input mode is
based on a built-in dictionary.
To enter a word in T9 mode:
1. Press the keys to . Press each key only once for
each letter.
The word that you are typing appears on the display. It
may change with each key that you press.
2. Enter the whole word before editing or deleting
characters.
3. If the word displays correctly, go to step 4.
If the word doesn’t display correctly, scroll to the word
on the word choice list, which displays alternative word
choices for the keys that you have pressed.
